The Divine Calling of Man

The concept of a “Godly man” is rooted in the understanding of humanity’s purpose as outlined in scripture. The following Biblical verses illuminate the essence of what God created man to be:

Genesis 1:27: “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” (NIV)

Genesis 2:7: “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.” (NIV)

Psalm 8:3-8: “When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? You made them a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned them with glory and honor. Relationship with God: The concept of being created to “declare God’s praise” suggests a purpose centered on worship and fellowship with the divine. Drawing upon these scriptural foundations, we strive to guide men and boys towards a life characterized by:

Spiritual Growth: This entails a commitment to practices such as daily prayer, scriptural study, participation in religious services, and acts of worship.

Moral Integrity: This involves cultivating virtues like honesty, compassion, humility, and self-control.

Strong Relationships: This emphasizes nurturing healthy relationships with spouses, children, and other family members.

Service to Others: This includes volunteering in the community, assisting those in need, and advocating for social justice.

Holistic Well-being: This encompasses taking care of one’s physical health, managing stress, and maintaining a healthy mental state. Additionally, it emphasizes avoiding harmful habits like substance abuse and gambling addiction.

By adhering to these principles, men can strive to fulfill their God-given calling and lead a life of purpose, service, and spiritual fulfillment.

Creating safe and supportive environments for boys to explore their identity, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and build positive relationships.
